The Gir National Park offers only the Jeep Safari as a mode to explore the Gir forest. The Jeep safari is organized in the three shifts - early morning shift, Morning shift and afternoon shift. The number of jeep safari is limited in each shift. All the safari booking can be done through the online booking system only so an advance booking is always advisable for the Gir safari. Being the only reserve park for the Asiatic Lions, there is a huge rush of wildlife enthusiasts, especially, the Lion lovers for the safari to explore this park. A maximum of 6 adults and 1 child is permitted to go on a Safari Jeep along with the driver and a mandatory forest guide. Apart from the Jeep safari, you can also book your accommodation from this site. The Gir tour package is also available for the hassle free tour of the Gir National Park. The package includes your safari, Hotel and Food as well as nearby sightseeing as per the package booked. Enjoy your Gir Jungle tour.

Gir Safari Booking Procedure:

The following information is required at the time of the booking your safari permit-

  • The Full name, Age, Sex (as per your ID proof) of each visitor is required.
  • Your Safari Date and Shift Timing (Early Morning/ Morning/ Afternoon).
  • Every visitor's Identity Card Number (Voter Id, Aadhar Card, Pan card, Driving license, etc.).
  • Full Entry Permit Fee in advance.

Things to Know before booking Gir Safari-

  • You have to pay the full entry fee for the safari in advance.
  • You have to provide the valid ID Proof of each and every tourist visiting the park.
  • Any booking made with the incorrect or incomplete ID proof will be considered invalid.
  • A maximum of six adults and one child can visit the park against one safari entry permit.
  • Any refund or cancellation can be done as per the rules of the Gir forest department.
  • Permits once confirmed will not be transferred to anyone.
  • The confirm permits cannot be exchanged with anyone.
  • You have to show the same ID card used for booking at the time of entry into the park.
  • Only the Passport is valid as an ID card for the foreigner tourists.
  • The entry fee for the foreigner tourist is different from the Indian tourist.
  • Safari booking is subject to availability and it is a 'first come first serve' facility.
