Asteya Kanha is located in Bamhni village, 5 Kms from the Mukki gate, and is strategically located on the edge of Kanha National Park. Surrounded by lush green Sal trees, the property shares its boundary with the jungle making it a wonderful gallery for viewing wildlife.
The beautiful lake within the camp is an ideal location to spend evenings, as one can simply relax while trying to capture the perfect shades of the setting sun over the far horizon or enjoy the chef's special as we lay down the most romantic candle light dinner for you and your loved one.
Kanha National Park spread over 2000 sq. km of area is a mix of tropical moist and dry deciduous forest with tree species like Sal, Mahua, Saja, Kulu being the prominent ones along with a variety of bamboo and other grasses.
Kanha is home to more than 325 species of birds, including the Malabar Pied Hornbill, the Crested Hawk-eagle as well as an impressive assemblage of herbivores like the, Barasinga Swamp deer (found only at Kanha), the Gaur, the Sambar, and chital.
